About the Lairmont Manor and Estate
Elegance, grace, and charm distinguish historic Lairmont Manor and its grounds, making the estate the perfect place for your most special formal occasion.
On the National Registry of Historical Sites, Lairmont Manor was built in the Italian Renaissance style and bears many of its architectural features, including parquet flooring, pretty French windows, and a grand staircase. Classical simplicity also defines the exterior, which features a formal entrance under a carriage park port-cochere and decorative brickwork and terracotta trim. Much of the handcrafted wood and ironwork for the mansion was imported from Italy and Belgium which adds to its European look.
Built in the first decade of the twentieth century, Lairmont has several contemporary Art Nouveau details, including hand painted wood wainscoting, curved porticos and original light fixtures, which add further romance.
Beautifully proportioned and superbly maintained formal grounds complement the Manor and provide the ideal backdrop to a garden wedding or party. An attractive pavilion offers shelter. We have had doves at Lairmont for over 12 years, and they grace the trees and skies above their dovecot on the lawn. Our beloved doves have produced about 100 young over the time we have cared for them, and their gentle cooing provides a romantic serenade for our garden weddings.
Originally designed as a home for one of Bellingham's great families, the Larrabees, Lairmont has rooms and amenities to suit parties of all sizes, from small family celebrations to large personal or corporate events.
